Today, I want to talk about corporate presentations that we are all familiar with but may not like. You know, those slides full of text, the boring pictures, the feeling that you’re watching an old-fashioned slide show. And then you ask yourself: why are we still doing this? Our sales people, and anyone who has to give a presentation, deserve better, don’t they?
The answer is yes, they certainly do. Fortunately, there are now tools that can make presentations a lot more exciting and engaging. Here are two of my favorites:
1. Prezi
Prezi is a tool that has been around for more than ten years but is still a favorite of mine. Instead of the standard slides we are used to from PowerPoint or Keynote, Prezi takes you through a landscape. It adds an element of movement and exploration to your presentations, making them more dynamic and engaging.
With Prezi, you can zoom in on specific points, fly around to show different ideas, and then zoom out again to show the bigger picture. It’s a great way to keep your audience engaged and interested.
2. Sendsteps
Sendsteps is another interesting tool. Originally designed to easily incorporate interaction (à la Kahoot) into your presentations, it has now evolved to create complete presentations for you.
Sendsteps lets you ask real-time questions, conduct polls and surveys, and even organize quizzes, all within your presentation. It can also gather feedback and questions from your audience, making your presentation a two-way conversation rather than a monologue.
So, it’s time to throw PowerPoint and Keynote in the trash and use these more interactive, engaging tools. I guarantee your presentations will never be the same again.
Happy pitching, everyone! I hope these tools help you take your presentations to the next level and captivate your audience.
